Deborah Jean Holland was charged with one count of embezzlement greater than $100,000, which is a Class-C felony.
Holland was the office manager at the Goldsboro OB-GYN office.
A police report alleges Holland embezzled from the business through fraudulent credit card and company check purchases between March 2005 and October 2010.
Holland was placed in the Wayne County Jail on a $50,000 secured bond. Her first court appearance was scheduled for Friday.
