Holly Martez Lyons, 21, was arrested on the following charges: attempted first-degree murder, discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle, discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling, pattern of gang activity, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, and three counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
Investigators said Lyons fired into a car stopped at a traffic light at North Alston Avenue and Dowd Street shortly before 11 a.m. on Monday.
A 38-year-old woman was taken to Duke University Hospital for treatment. Two other people in the car were not injured.
Shots also struck a residence in the 1400 block of North Alston Avenue which was occupied by three people, including a 3-year-old child. No one in the house was injured.
Lyons' bond was set at $5 million.
