When deputies arrived, they discovered Emmett Kenneth Hall lying outside his home suffering from a gunshot wound.
His family members attempted to administer CPR, however, Hall died at the scene.
His brother, Charles Robert Hall, fled into the wooded area behind the residence.
Charles Hall was later located and was transported to the Wilson Medical Center due to injuries sustained from a prior altercation with his brother.
Witnesses indicated that a physical fight had occurred earlier between the two brothers.
A warrant has been obtained for Charles Hall for first degree murder. The investigation is still ongoing.
