Police said they responded to the crash on Rosehill Road just after midnight. It happened near the intersection of Walstone Road.
Amy Lynn Zinsser, 33, of Fayetteville, was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer when police said she lost control and ran off the side of the road. She hit a pole before the vehicle went off the other side of the road and struck a bridge support. Zinsser was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit is investigating the crash.
