39-year old Geroge Feeter has been missing since launching from the Barton’s Creek Boat Ramp off Six Forks Road on Sunday.
His wife said when he did not return home, the Wake County Sheriff’s Department launched an intense search with boats, helicopters and dogs.
Several witnesses reported hearing someone screaming for help on the lake on Sunday.
The only thing found so far is Feeter’s empty kayak.
He was last seen wearing a yellow YMCA t-shirt and shorts.
