Cold rain, sleet on morning commute

A cold rain mixed with some sleet hit the Triangle early Friday morning.

ABC11 had crews out checking roads before and during the morning commute.

There were reports of a few accidents, but no major problems.

Meteorologist Don Schwenneker said up to an inch of rain was possible on Friday. Highs were expected to only reach the upper 30s.

Rain will continue tonight, and end during the morning and early early afternoon on Saturday. Skies may brighten a bit during the afternoon on Saturday, and temperatures will warm back into the low 50s.

Sunday looks to be a nice day with lots of sun and mild temperatures. Highs will reach the mid and upper 50s.
