ECU student charged in crash that killed two

Police have charged the driver in a November car accident that claimed the life of an ECU student from Raleigh.

WNCT in Greenville reports that 20 year old Kamil Arrington of Nashville has been charged with two counts of misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.

Police say she fell asleep at the wheel before losing control of her car in the early morning hours of November 20. The car left the road and hit a tree.

Victoria T'nya-Ann Carter, 20, of Raleigh, was pronounced dead at the scene. Fellow ECU student Briana Gather of Kernersville was also killed.

Arrington was released on a $1,000 bond.
