Spring-like temps offer relief from winter cold

A big warm up is on the way beginning Thursday.

ABC11 Meteorologist Don Schwenneker said despite cloud cover, temperatures will rise into the mid- to upper-60s on Thursday. Friday the Triangle will hit 75 degrees after morning clouds give way to sunny skies by afternoon.

The record high at RDU on February 18 is 75.

Slightly cooler weather is on tap for the weekend, but temperatures will remain well above normal.
