Sheriff’s detectives said they charged Ernie Lee Warrick, 29, with first degree rape, first degree sex offense with a child and indecent liberties with a child.
The alleged incidents happened when the child was 9-years old.
The Sheriff’s Office said the Warrick and the child knew each other.
When charges were filed, Warrick was already in jail Wilson County on similar charges.
He was taken to Wayne County for processing before being placed back in the Wilson County Jail, where he is currently being held on a $525,000 secured bond.
