Lowe announced he was stepping down March 15 after leading the Wolfpack basketball team for five season.
Senior Associate Athletic Director Chris Kingston told ABC11 Thursday that "a number of talented Division I coaches have indicated strong interest in the NC State men's basketball coach position."
But he said while the coaches have inquired about salary, and NC State has answered those inquiries, that does not mean an offer has been made.
