Car completely burned after crash

Authorities in Johnston County are investigating a fiery car crash.The crashed happened after a driver lost control early Tuesday morning on 701 South.

The car went into the ditch, and then hit a driveway causing it to go airborne and land in front of trees.

Authorities say they think the hot engine ignited some pine straw, which started a small brush fire. The car completely burned in the blaze.

The fire did not spread to nearby woods in the area.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Further details about the crash has not been released.
