Former state worker arrested for stalking

RALEIGH They say 38-year-old Melissa Anne Ballard of Raleigh used a work computer to have magazines depicting gay material delivered to him at his work and home.

Ballard is also accused of placing ads under the man's name seeking other men for sex.

The former state worker has been charged with one misdemeanor count of stalking. Authorities say it is unclear why she impersonated the man.

Ballard was released from jail Tuesday on a $1,000 bond and ordered not to have any contact with the man.
