FEMA inspectors survey tornado damage

APEX To date FEMA says 5,200 people statewide have registered for assistance.

FEMA inspectors were in Apex's Bentley Drive Neighborhood Saturday afternoon surveying one of the homes damaged during the tornadoes.

So Far, officials have approved 3.3 million dollars in federal aid.

FEMA says it will begin providing temporary trailers to tornado survivors in some the hardest hit areas.

Officials are asking storm victims who haven't registered with them, to do so as soon as possible.

Individuals needing FEMA assistance can either apply over the phone at 1-800-621-3362 or online at www.disasterassistance.gov.
