Wolf Creek is an off-campus student housing community for North Carolina State University, Meredith, Peace, Shaw and Saint Augustine's.
It's located near Hillsborough Street.
Raleigh police spokesman Jim Sughrue said a 911 call came in about the incident just before 2:30 p.m.
He said when officers went to apartment 307-208, they found 20-year-old Jerrell Antonio Goings shot in the leg. He was later taken to the hospital.
Sughrue said two suspects who came into the apartment shortly before the shooting fled right afterwards.
Police arrested 24-year-old Chonsey Terrell Jones and 23-year-old Kenneth Kadeem Smith Thursday evening.
Jones is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, and second-degree kidnapping.
Smith is charged robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling, and second-degree kidnapping.
Police also arrested a woman. Bonnie Lynn Jones, 25, is charged with four counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and four counts of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
On Friday, police announced the arrests of two additional suspects.
Twenty-two-year-olds Najee Christian Gillespie and Neeko Ceasare Gillespie are charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana and maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of selling or delivering marijuana.
NC State student Ryan Santa says he saw the aftermath of the shooting unfold.
"All I saw were a bunch of cop cars and all the tape set up," he said. "It's pretty surprising that something like this happened, I mean it's pretty calm usually around here."
Police say they don't believe the incident was random and that Goings knew his attackers.
