Deputies say he's a suspect in a shooting that left Corrello Ramiro dead at residence at 7942 Buck Road in Castalia Saturday.
Salazar-Mendoza was last seen driving a 1995 black Jeep Cherokee with a NC license plate. The vehicle has been located, but Salazar-Mendoza is still on the loose.
Anyone having any information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call the Nash County Sheriff's Office at (252) 459-4121.
