Detectives announced Friday they've made an arrest in the dumping of a man's body on Fort Bragg last September.

Jimmy Bailey, 33, of Derrydowne Court, is charged with first-degree murder in the slaying.

Thirty-one-year-old Angel Pesante-Ventura's body was found off Plank Road September 27. He was first reported missing by family members September 17.

Because the body was found on Fort Bragg, the case was a joint investigation between the Fayetteville Police Department and the U.S. Army C.I.D. - which was the lead investigator.

Detectives said recently discovered evidence shows the murder took place in Fayetteville, and Fayetteville police took over jurisdiction.

Detectives said Pesante-Ventura was staying at the same home with Bailey the night he was killed.

Bailey is being held without bond.
