Bragg soldier found dead in barracks

FORT BRAGG Military leaders at Fort Bragg are being very tight-lipped about the death investigation, but an Army press release reveals that Pfc Jeffrey Hyde was found unresponsive Sunday morning in his barracks room on post.

Hyde was a member of Charlie Company 307th Brigade Support Battalion, which is part of the First Brigade Combat Team in the 82nd Airborne Division.

Hyde joined the Army in 2008 and deployed with the 82nd Airborne Division in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from August of 2009 to July of last year.

He was originally from San Antonio Texas and is survived by his 8-year-old son Caleb and his mom and dad Judy and Phillip Hyde.
