Rescue crews spent much of the afternoon at the boat ramp, searching the water for Kimble.
The search ended overnight, when members of the N.C. Canine Emergency Response Team located the body around 2:30am Sunday.
Police say his remains have been transported to office of the state Medical Examiner.
William Kimble says his cousin, Darryl, was the man on the boat.
"He had health problems." Kimble said. "But he loved to fish and hunt. I hope he'll come out very safe and alive. Because I just had one tragedy in my family with my sister. She passed away with a heart attack this past Thursday. I don't want to see another accident among the family."
It is not clear how Kimble fell into the water, but police say they do not believe any foul play is involved.
