Marijuana pills are typically given by prescription to some types of cancer patient.
"I've never seen it. It's the first for us, and I've been here 18 years," said Lieutenant R. K. Powell.
Kylee Nikkol Smith, 32, is charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver marijuana. Anthony Joseph Boney, 38, is also charged with trafficking in cocaine.
Bond for each was set at just over $500,000.
Lt. Powell said where the 250 marijuana pills came from is a mystery, but he said he hopes it's not the start of a new trend.
"Hopefully, it's a onetime thing, but with narcotics you never can tell," he said.
