The crash happened around 8:40 p.m. at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. and Bragg Boulevard in Fayetteville.
Deputy Chance Williams suffered back pain and was treated and released at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Fayetteville Police Department.
