"I went down there to see them, told them what the problem was, and they said okay, fill out this form," he recalled.
Riddick says he followed the instructions and waited.
"I waited another month, contacted them, and said what's going on? And they said oh, we're working on it. We're working on it," he said.
The waiting continued.
"I waited till May the ninth, and I went back down," said Riddick.
Riddick says he was told Medicare premiums were mistakenly being deducted from his check. But in June, his check was still short.
"I said good grief, what is going on with these people are they just this stupid?" he recalled.
Riddick contacted AB11 and we reached out to the Social Security Administration. Riddick was reimbursed for all the money he's missing.
"Without you all they would probably still be twiddling their thumbs," said Riddick.
A representative with the Social Security Administration told ABC11 it should not have withheld the Medicare premiums and apologized for the problem.
