Friends and family will gather for the funeral for 17-year-old Darian Davis and 19-year-old Dustin Davis.
The pair were killed Friday night after getting hit by an Amtrak train as they walked along the tracks along East Washington Street in Mebane.
The brothers had just left a group of friends.
"They're like, 'We got to go,'" one friend said. "No less than 30 minutes later, his mom came crying, asking where'd Darian and Dustin go?"
Investigators said the engineer blew the whistle and hit the brake but could not stop the train in time.
The brothers' father said he believed they were under the influence of the synthetic marijuana known as Spice or K-2.
Thomas Davis told reporters police found some K-2 at the scene of the accident.
However, the teen's friend said they don't know what happened, because the railroad tracks were not a place where the two brothers would usually go.
Their funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Mebane.
