The blaze started around 4:30 a.m. at the Millbank Court Apartments on North Raleigh Boulevard.
Firefighters had to resuscitate one of the children, an infant, at the scene after crews rescued the child for the smoke-filled apartment.
Two adults and a 5-year-old child were also inside the apartment when the fire broke out. One of the adults had to jump from the burning building to safety.
All four victims were taken to the hospital. Their names and conditions are unknown at this time.
Firefighters were able to put the fire out quickly, which prevented it from spreading to other units. However, other nearby units did suffer some smoke damage.
It is unclear what sparked the blaze.
