Prosecutors say it is now set for Jan. 17, which is a week later than scheduled because of an unrelated scheduling issue.
Young is charged with first-degree murder in the death of his pregnant wife, Michelle. She was found beaten to death in their home in Nov. 2006.
Young's first murder trial ended in mistrial in June after a jury couldn't reach a unanimous verdict.
Wake County's assistant district attorney says she expects the new trial to last about six weeks.
