A Fayetteville man was arrested after police say he led them on a chase, ultimately getting the NC Highway Patrol involved.

A Fayetteville police officer tried to stop Ronald Keels Jr., 24, Friday around 10:20 a.m. at the intersection of Whitfield and Camden Roads. Police said they attempted to pull over Keels for not displaying a tag on his vehicle.

When Keels would not stop for the officer, police chased him. Eventually a state trooper assisted in getting the driver to pull over on Highway 301 near Airport Road.

Keels faces charges of failure to stop for lights and siren, insurance violation, and registration violation.
