During their investigation, police said they found the victim in the 900 block of Marsh St. with an apparent gunshot wound
The man had been shot and was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police have not yet released the victim's name.
At this time, there are no suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
