Two killed in Durham shooting

The shooting happened at a home on Dawkins Street, off East Umstead Street.

Durham detectives are investigating a shooting that left two dead Sunday night.

It happened around 9 p.m. at a home on Dawkins Street, off East Umstead Street.

When Durham police officers arrived, they found 24-year-old Timothy Deangelo McGhee dead inside the house from apparent gunshot wounds.

Another man, 22-year-old Paul Anthony Noel Jr. of Morreene Road, had also been shot. Authorities took him to Duke University Hospital, where he later died.

According to investigators, an unknown suspect or suspects fired shots into the house where McGhee lived.

No charges have been filed at this time.
