Hold on to your hats - it's windy!

ABC11 Meteorologist Don " Big Weather" Schwenneker says the sun will be shining, but it will be windy with highs only in the mid 40s.

"Wind chills will be in the teens this morning and in the 20s this afternoon in spots," he said.

Early Friday morning, the wind caused several power outages around the Triangle. Duke Power reported over 2,000 residents were in the dark in Durham around 7 a.m. do to a tree falling on a power line.

Schwenneker says the blustery conditions will die down by Friday night. The clear skies hang around and that will help the temperature drop into the mid 20s for overnight lows.

Saturday brings sunshine with temperatures in the mid 40s and Sunday stays dry, with highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s.

Next week, there will be a chance of showers Tuesday into Wednesday as temps warm up a little.
