Not only is this bad news for avid golfers in the Fayetteville area, but residents in the Baywood community stand to lose the most if the course stays shut down.
The general manager of the Baywood Golf Course, Dan Glus, hopes someone sees the value in the course.
"Hopefully somebody will come in purchase it," Glus said. "There's basically two options. Somebody buys it or it stays closed."
If that does not happen, the course will close Monday morning.
