No outside investigator for police raid

CHAPEL HILL

In November, heavily armed police arrested seven protesters at the old Yates Building. It was a move some have called "extreme."

Those arrested and those connected with the Occupy Chapel Hill movement have cried foul saying it was police brutality and they've been demanding action.

A recent report released by the town manager said the police were justified in their actions because they believed a group of anarchists were in the building and it was believed they could be violent.

Chapel Hill's community policing advisory committee asked the town for money to hire a private investigator to look into the incident, but the town council instead voted to set up a website where people can comment.
