Flames heavily damage Raleigh home

RALEIGH Firefighters responded to 218 Cox Avenue at 1:56 a.m, and arrived on scene to find a one story wood frame residential structure with flames showing from the rear of the building.

All told, it took 35 firefighters about 34 minutes to knock down the flames.

Two people were displaced, and the home was declared uninhabitable.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
