WTSB Radio reported a fire destroyed logging equipment and a diesel fuel trailer parked in a wooded area on Guin Road outside of Four Oaks on Saturday.
Early Sunday, there were two more fires on Highway 96 South. The first, around 2:30 a.m., destroyed a farm building and bales of hay stored inside. The second fire around 3:30 a.m. was in a grassy area next to an abandoned home. The home did not catch fire.
Investigators have not said if the fires are linked to two-dozen arsons at abandoned buildings and structures dating back to 2008.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Johnston County Sheriff's Office at (919) 989-5010.
