Potential for heavy rain, light snow this weekend

"We still expect some wet snow before the precipitation ends tomorrow night. This will be a wet snow, and with temperatures expected to be at or just above freezing, any accumulation will be on grassy areas, and not on roads as it looks now," said ABC11 meteorologist Scott Dean. "Areas around Roxboro could pick up around an inch of wet snow. Around the Triangle, any accumulation looks to be a 1/2 inch or less."

Sunshine returns to the area for Monday and it remains dry with some sun and clouds Tuesday with milder temperatures Tuesday.
