Wake County Sheriff's deputies tried to pull over the motorcycle near the area of Six Forks Road and I-540. Officials said that the driver refused to stop.
Deputies chased the man along I-540, until the bike went the wrong way down Hodge Road near Knightdale and crashed into a car.
The driver of the motorcycle was thrown from the bike, but was not seriously hurt.
Deputies took the man into custody and seized his motorcycle.
There were no other injuries in the crash.
