Fire destroys home under renovation

A home in Durham under renovation went up in flames early Sunday morning.Firefighters responded to a structure fire call around 7:30 a.m. in the 1500 block of Concord Street.

When they arrived, they found the home fully-involved, with flames shooting from the roof.

The fire was apparently so intense, it was visible to drivers on the Durham Freeway.

There is no word whether anyone was hurt.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
