Two separate shootings in one night

Two people were shot within one hour of each other in two separate shootings Sunday night in Durham.

Police said the first shooting happened on Hyde Park Avenue near the intersection of Elmo Street around 8:30 p.m.

Witnesses said one man was shot and taken to the hospital.

Investigators said they have not identified a suspect, nor do they have any details on what may have led up to the shooting.

The second shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. when one person was shot near the intersection of Rosedale Avenue and Morehead Avenue.

Investigators have not released further details about that shooting.
