Hello from Columbus Ohio! N.C. State is getting geared up for what should be an entertaining game with San Diego State. The Wolfpack went through a light practice this afternoon in front of a handful of fans. I'm guessing the early start time kept a few folks away and would expect to see a lot more red in the stands tomorrow. After a 40 minute public practice, State is headed to another gym in the area for a "closed" practice where they will work on more of their game plan.

One of the priorities will be to get Scott Wood hitting some shots. He's the Pack's leading scorer but has only hit double figures in three of his last eight ballgames. Remember when he couldn't miss from the foul line?? Wood connected on an ACC record 66 straight. Down the regular season stretch though, Wood has made just 4 of his last 7. He told me it's been the most uneven season he's ever had. Coach Gottfried told me that perhaps seeing a different opponent (non-ACC) will help pull him out of his slump. Let's hope so!

No special team activities are planned for the team tonight. They are treating this trip like it's a regulars season trip according to Associate Media Relations Director Brian Reinhard. We'll see if they still feel the same when the ball is tipped tomorrow at 12:40!
