The accident happened just after 8:15 p.m. near milemarker 452, near Spring Hope.
The Highway Patrol said a flatbed truck hauling construction equipment was pulled over on the side of the road when a pickup truck crashed into it.
The driver of the pickup truck was rushed to the hospital, but is expected to be okay. The two people in the flatbed were not injured.
The eastbound lanes were closed, but have since reopened.
