Game Day in Columbus! Lots of red milling about outside of Nationwide Arena before the games begin. Of course with NC State, Belmont and OSU fans who are coming to the sessions its hard to judge how many Wolfpack fans are here.

Those who made the trip will be getting to watch the Pack through the weekend. Behind 22 points by Richard Howell, State advances to play Georgetown who rolled to an easy victory. Howell could have easily hit a career high in points (25), but got into foul trouble late. No worries, his teammates picked up the slack. NC State shot 58% for the game.

Many media types here in Columbus are calling for an upset next round too. Vegas happens to disagree. State is a 3.5 point underdog on Sunday afternoon. When the Wolfpack walked off the court they didn't celebrate. I asked Howell why and he told me that ESPN commentators were critical of the celebration that took place when NCSU was selected to join the Big Dance so they decided to "be all business."
