One dead in Fayetteville love triangle

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.

Officers responded to a shooting call in the 700 block of Duck Court at 2:52 a.m. Saturday.

When they arrived, they found Kevin Moseby, 28, dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

Investigators said the suspect in the shooting, 30-year-old Duane Brown, Jr., of Sanford, was injured during the altercation, and was later arrested as he attempted to seek medical care at Cape Fear Valley Hospital.

According to authorities, Brown is the ex-boyfriend of Moseby's ex-wife. Moseby and his ex-wife were rekindling their marriage at the time of the shooting.

Both men have been identified by police as being active-duty soldiers, though they haven't specified if either is a soldier stationed at Fort Bragg.

Brown has been charged with first degree murder and first degree robbery.
