Officials said it happened around 7 p.m. The CASA aircraft was a private flight that took off from a flight strip in North Raleigh.
It was reported to have had mechanical issues while airborne.
Three people were on board, and all three were able to exit the plane safely.
No injuries were reported.
One runway was closed for a short time while crews removed the aircraft.
No flight delays were reported.
