One killed in Durham triple shooting

Three people were shot Wednesday evening near the intersection of Hearthside and Bacon Streets in Durham around 7 p.m.

A witness told ABC11 that she heard about 30 gun shots outside 4 Welch Place before police arrived.

All three victims were taken to Duke Hospital, where one of the victims later died.

The victim was identifed as 37-year-old Jesus Contreras of Durham.

The other two victims' names have not been released. They are currently in good condition.

Investigators said they do not believe the shooting was random and have not identified any motives at this time. They are currently searching for the shooter or shooters.
