Man accused of killing mom appears in court

FAYETTEVILLE

Robert Terry Ellison, 30, of 1822 Canady Pond Road, is charged with second-degree murder.

Prosecutors say he strangled 50-year old Edwardyne "Dynee" Ann Williams late last year and dumped her body in a wooded area near their home.

Williams' family said Monday her son had just moved back in with her.

"He was supposed to come home and help his mother," said Williams' brother Robert Kreel.

"Dynee was a mother who loved her children and she wanted to do everything she could for them and Dynee loved her son," said sister-in-law Mary Ann Kreel.

Ellison was already in jail when he was charged in his mother's death on an unrelated charge of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

He's being held without bond.
