A Raleigh man and three others are facing charges for jumping off a TV tower in Jones County.

Twenty-two-year-old Zachery Nunzey and the others all face trespassing charges.

The Jones County sheriff said deputies saw the four men near the tower in Trenton around 10 p.m. Wednesday and thought a drug deal could be happening. However, the men were planning to BASE jump from the WCTI-TV tower.

At least one of the would-be jumpers had a parachute already strapped to his back. However, deputies arrested the men before anyone could jump.

BASE jumping is an activity where participants jump from fixed objects, such as buildings, towers, bridges, or cliffs. Participants use a parachute to break their fall.
