Officials said the officers were talking to 24-year-old Antonio Spearman and 19-year-old Devonte Lock while the two men were inside their vehicle. One of the men was sitting in the driver seat and tried to drive away, while other fled on foot.

The officer asked the driver to stop, but when he refused, the officer fired his gun.

The driver managed to flee the scene, but officers were able to locate him a short time later. He was not hurt in the shooting.

Both Spearman and Lock were charged with obstructing an officer. Lock was also charged with driving with a revoked license.
