Raleigh police search for robbery suspect

Raleigh police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed an internet sweepstakes business on April 12.

Police said the suspect walked into the business in the 3800 block of Hillsborough Street around 5 a.m. and hit an employee with a handgun. A customer inside the business was not hurt during the robbery.

The suspect is described as an African American man with a medium build who stands about 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was wearing dark clothing and cap and had a moustache.

Anyone who thinks they might recognize the suspect or who has other information that might assist detectives is asked to call Raleigh CrimeStoppers at (919) 834-HELP.

The suspect, who is seen in the attached surveillance photos, was last observed running away in an eastwardly direction. It is not known at this time if a vehicle was involved in commission of the crime.
