Raleigh police are searching for the man responsible in a Thursday afternoon bank robbery.

Police said the suspect was armed with a gun when he entered the PNC Bank in the 2400 block of Wycliff Road around 4:58 p.m. The bank is located just off the Beltline, near Lake Boone Trail.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 50s who is about 6'1'' and weighs about 185 lbs. He was wearing a dark, short-sleeved shirt and a white ball cap. He may also be driving a black Jeep Cherokee.

Police also believe the suspect rendezvoused with a female accomplice outside the bank after the robbery. The white female is described as being younger ? possibly in her mid-30s ? with dark brown or black hair. She is said to be of medium height and weight.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
