Durham police search for convenience store robber

Durham police need help in tracking down a man who robbed a convenience store back in April.

Police said the male suspect went to the BP in the 3500 block of Hillsborough Road on April 11. He brought a pack of crackers to the cashier and handed her $5 to pay for them.

When the cashier opened the cash drawer, the suspect leaned over the counter and grabbed cash from the drawer.

The suspect threatened to shoot the store employee, but never showed a gun.

The man is described as a black male who is approximately 50 years old. He is believed to be 6' to 6'2'' tall and 200 to 220 lbs. He was wearing a dark baseball cap, a light colored shirt, and sunglasses. He also has an earring in his right ear.
