Fayetteville woman sought following murder

FAYETTEVILLE

Twenty-six-year-old Denika Jones is missing and police fear she may be in danger.

Jones was Tommy Webb's girlfriend and lived in the trailer where he was found shot to death earlier this week in the 1700 block of Gardenia Avenue.

Police said Jones' cell phone and pocketbook were found inside the home and she hasn't been seen in days.

"It's really hurtful. It really hurts," said Webb's aunt, Pearlina McMillian. "We're just trying to get to the bottom of what happened. We're also worried about the girl. Where her whereabouts are."

Police said they do not know whether Jones is a victim or a suspect at this time.

Relatives have searched a wooded area near the murder scene for Jones, but, so far, they have come up empty.

Anyone having information regarding Jones' whereabouts is urged to call the Fayetteville Police Department at (910) 433-1421 or 1856 or Crimestoppers at (910) 483-TIPS.
