It happened in the 500 block of Edgewater Street around 8 a.m.
The victim told Eyewitness News he was at home making breakfast when a man walked in and pistol-whipped and robbed him.
Police responded to the call and found the suspect near Guess Road and Sedgefield Street.
The suspect's name has not been released.
